By Rhonda Beck

Concord NC’s Kyle Grissom heads into the Firecracker 150 on July 3, 2012 at Anderson Speedway in Williamston, S.C. tied for the points lead with Brandon Ward in the PASS South super late model touring series. Grissom, the 2005 UARA Rookie of

the Year and son of 1993 NASCAR Nationwide champion Steve Grissom, is in his first year on the Pro All Star Series tour.

Grissom won the Easter Bunny 150 at Hickory (NC) Motor Speedway on April 7 and the CV Products 125 at Concord (NC) Speedway on May 26 and is pleased with the start to his season.

We’ve felt real good this year. This is the first car Greg Marlowe’s built in this series and five (now six) races in we’ve won two races. That was more than what we expected at the start of the year. I’ve been really enjoying working with Greg.  We’re just trying to keep on learning; hopefully we’ll still be running this good at the end of the year,” said Grissom.

Grissom’s most recent PASS Series race was at South Boston Speedway in South Boston, Va. on June 9. Read On!
